Teddy No, NO!! Teddy Time Out!!!

Lately Avalyn has been going to bed with three stuffed animals. Her baby, teddy, and lama. And apparently she has vivid memories of her consequences when she is being naughty because she is repeating it all to her three little lovies.

Last night I stood at her door and heard her repeatedly say to her teddy in the utmost authoritative mockery of me: "Teddy Time OUT!! Teddy NO, NO!! Teddy sit down NOW. Bottom Down. Teddy No, NO.

It sure was cute and apparently teddy is the black sheep of the heard. :)

10 Day Journey

A couple weeks ago Avalyn and I got to go on vacation with the Ringenberg family but before we took off on vacation we celebrated Gammy Jill's birthday and stayed the night at the DeKeyser's home.


And for those of you who don't know it yet but the DeKeyser's bought a shop in Bishop Hill and named it Jilly Ann's. It has really cute paintings, jewelery, antiques, baskets, wreaths, and SO much more. Here are some of the pictures I took when we visited a couple months ago.




Anyways, back to the vacation...After we visited the DeKeyser's we headed to Arkansas. Avalyn did AMAZING during the 7 hour car ride and we had so much fun swimming, playing in the sand, jumping in the pool, exploring caves, and swimming in the world's 10th largest natural spring. OK, and for all of you who are thinking seriously, Arkansas...don't knock it till you visit. It is hilly and there are lakes and wildlife everywhere!

Aunt Laura came to visit last week. We went to the splash pad and to the Zoo. Avalyn loved seeing her aunt!!!

We went downtown Peoria for the Taste of Peoria...there was lots of yummy food but I think that Avalyn loved playing in the water the most.
