I want the baby pumpkin

We went to a small pumpkin patch and picked out a couple pumpkins. It made me miss Tanners. The patch we went to was pretty sad looking.
I can do it.  I can do it.  I can do it.

Heavy

These are the two baby pumpkins that Avalyn picked out. She walked over to the pile of pumpkins and told Marcus that she wanted that one, the baby pumpkin.

Our House

I thought that everyone might want to see where we live so I made a blog with pictures on it. It is www.4643CalumetAvenue.blogspot.com

Birthday Week

We celebrated Avalyn's Birthday at home by visiting GG, eating spaghetti, and with a birthday cake. The following weekend we went to the Indiana Dunes and camped out. Avalyn loves seeing everyone!

The bee says buzzzz

We were at the library playing the other week and little Avalyn decided she wanted to be a bee. She would walk around playing saying "Buzzz, the bee says buzzz." It was really cute!

Another Zoo Day

The zoo is going to be closing for the year so we are trying to visit as much as we can....

Zoo Day with Mommy

These are a little out of order but I really don't feel like taking the time to rearrange the order. Avalyn and I spent exactly 3 hours at the zoo and did EVERYTHING but the bat cage. I really enjoyed our Mommy/Daughter date and can't wait to do it again. I am loving the age she is at right now! She is like a mini Amy. She loves to talk and we carry on convo's about anything she wants to tell me about. So mainly it is about animals, pretty things she likes, bugs, going on walks, and going to the playground. What a simple life and simple joys. One of my prayers for little Avalyn is that she may understand and truly be joyful. Ecclesiastes 11:9a Be happy, young man, while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.

Baseball

Last night Marcus and I busted out our baseball gloves and dug out Avalyn's kiddie glove. She got really into playing catch and Marcus taught her how to step and throw. I might add that she has quite an arm and is a pretty good catcher for an almost two-year-old.

Rainy Day

It has been raining all morning long and little Avalyn has been begging to go outside. So we zipped up our jackets, put on our tennis shoes and decided to hop in a couple puddles.

Kewanee Hog Days

This past weekend we camped out with Grammy, Grandpa, Eric, Kristin, Madison, Mya, M.J., Rachel, and Oliver(their dog). We went fishing, to the parade, rode on the kiddie rides, ate pork chop sandwiches, made smores over the fire, and hosted Eric and Kristin's wedding shower.

Spotted: One hopping Grasshopper

After dropping Daddy off at work this morning we decided to stay up and enjoy the cool morning outside. I am pretty sure that Avalyn has the eyesight of an eagle because she always spots bugs a mile away. This morning she spotted a really big grasshopper.
