First Cold

So Avalyn got her first cold and it just breaks my heart to hear her struggle to breath and choke. Right now she is all sneezes and I am just praying that she sleeps ok through the night.

The Future

I have been thinking and praying a lot about my family's future lately. So much that sometimes it consumes my thoughts. The other day I had to box up some more of Avalyn's clothes and then I think about how much she has grown. I love this age that she is at and how tiny and cute she is. I just don't want her to grow anymore :) Then my mind drifts off to thoughts about all the "firsts" she will have. Her first giggle, her first tooth, her first word, her first sentence, her first step, her first day of school(p.s. I will probably ball my eyes out when this day comes-I am practically tearing up right now just thinking about it), her first sport, her first brother or sister, and the list goes on and on.

I admit that sometimes the days can be a little overwhelming but the instant that she just looks up at me with her big blue eyes, well it is all worth it.

Then I think about the future of our family and it is just so exciting. I know that God has some awesome thing in store for us.
